We wanna party with some VRL (very rad ladies) -our honored visiting skate coaches – and we thought it was high time for a ladies’ only DJ line up for one of our legendary Skate & Dance events… This Ladies’ Night Skate & Dance is a celebration of female energy, talent and dedication to a passion!

About our DJ Line-up>>>

Two talented DJs – Miyra Lim & Helix – from Vienna’s UK Garage/House collective Lo-ve-Fi (@lovefi.vie) will tag-team it up alongside Vienna Afrobeats star DJ Zola (@zola.bends)  for a proper night of grooving, bouncing & rolling.

 

 

Miyra Lim (@miyralim) is primarily a house head and UKG & 2-step lover from Vienna, Austria. However, her track selection is heavily influenced by her background in R’n’B and Hiphop music and dance. As a member of the Lo-ve-Fi crew, she helps to organise and DJ the monthly events of the crew’s residency at Sass and their monthly radio show at Res Radio.

Another member of @Lovefi.vie, Vienna native Helix (@helix_aut) came to DJing through dance and makes her sets a by-a-dancer, for-the-dancers experience! She has exercised her skills for events with/at Red Bull, Flavourama, Stream Festival, Solaris, Sass, Ars Electronica and more.

🔥@zola.bends🔥will be joining us as well. She brings fire tunes from the continent to the dancefloor. DJ Zola is an afrobeats & amapiano DJ. Get ready to skate & dance and enjoy some great vibes. You might also recognize her as one of the co-founders of African Diaspora Österreich (@adoe_official)

A NOTE ABOUT BUYING FOOD & DRINKS: The Jo&Joe hostel does not take cash payment at the bar! You need to pay with a bank/debit/credit card.

Bring Your Own Skates (BYOS) or Dancin’ shoes!

Skate & Dance events are a BYOS – Bring Your Own Skates – event. No rental skates will be available at this event. You can also contact WIFA Outlet in Vienna about weekly skate rental. https://wifa.at/

The location is great for a mix of dancing and jam/shuffle/rhythm skating, but is not a large enough area for true rink-style skating. These events are therefore NOT “ROLLER DISCOS” in that sense.

No skates?! Not a skater?! Well, get your dancin’ shoes on – this is a mixed dance floor for everyone! Come groove!
