Intermediate Workshop Session 1, 30.5.24

SESSION 1: MOVES & MUSICALITY
19:00-20:30 Coached
20:30-21:00 Open Skate & Cypher
Would you like to learn more challenging variations of your favorite moves? Would you like to work better with the music when skating? In this session we will focus on certain advanced moves and the topic of “musicality”. The focus is on defining, refining and developing certain movements. We try to bring musicality into the drills, freestyle moves and choreos. We will work individually and in groups to practice some skills and experiment with the music. Finally, we will learn a group choreography on the topic of “musicality”. After our 90-minute coached session, there is free skating and we practise “going in the middle”, also known as “freestyling in the cypher“!
*You should already have mastered the following skills: Dribbles, tanding/riding securly on one leg, a smooth “Downtown”, a decent “Crazy Legs” and confidently skate forwards and a little backwards.
This workshop is for adults (aged 18 and over).
